Introduction
Chromium (Gcr15, 100Cr6, 52100, SUJ2) steel balls, also called bearing steel balls. The high-precision chromium steel ball contains chromium and has excellent surface quality and high load carrying capacity due to quenching.
Throughout the manufacturing process, statistical process control can ensure tolerance accuracy, good surface finish and consistent high quality. It is most widely used in the ball and roller bearing industry and various wind power applications.
This steel has general cold working plasticity, poor welding performance, and high sensitivity to the formation of white spots and temper brittleness.
The surface of our chrome steel balls is extremely precise and smooth, ensuring that no defects such as flatness, dents, soft spots and cuts will be found.Chrome steel balls also have long life service and resistance to deformation.
We mainly produce chrome steel with sizes ranging from 7.9375mm to 82.55mm. The main material is high chromium GCR15 or GCR15SiMn. Our balls are mainly used in the wind energy industry.

Since the ball gage is the desired amount by which the lot mean diameter should differ from the nominal diameter, it must be expressed with the proper algebraic sign (+ or -).
Corrections to be added to Rockwell “C“ readings taken on the spherical surface for equivalent measure on parallel flats. These correction factors apply only to chrome and AISI-Type 440 stainless steel balls.
Hardness readings of balls taken on spherical surfaces are affected by the curvature and hardness of the ball. Because of these factors, corrections are necessarily added to the hardness read on ball surface to obtain the equivalent hardness on a flat surface.
Grade and tolerance (ABMA STD-10)
- Grade: a specific combination of size form and surface roughness tolerance. The grade of the ball is specified by the grade number.
- Ball diameter change: the difference between the largest and smallest actual single diameter of a ball.
- Batch diameter change: the difference between the average diameter of the largest ball and the smallest ball in the batch.
- Nominal ball diameter tolerance: the maximum allowable deviation between the average diameter of any ball batch and the nominal ball diameter.
